As Stemilt’s Quality Control Receiving Supervisor, you will lead and support daily fruit receiving operations across assigned locations. You will build and coach strong teams, set clear expectations, and create a culture centered on safety, quality, and performance. You will take ownership of fruit evaluation accuracy, inventory integrity, and efficient fruit flow, working closely with partners across teams to deliver a seamless experience from orchard to storage and beyond.
Additional Responsibilities
· Maintain equipment and facilities at fruit receiving locations, including (but not limited to) fruit quality evaluation equipment, outbuildings, fruit treatment equipment, and vehicles.
· Hire, train, oversee, and evaluate apple and cherry receiving crews.
· Communicate fruit movement and quality information across functionally diverse departments to ensure alignment and efficiency.
· Manage harvest and post‑harvest fruit receiving, movement, and storage logistics.
· Provide leadership and direct supervision of seasonal receiving teams and bin inventory personnel.
· Foster clear, professional communication with Stemilt managers, customers, employees, and other key stakeholders.
· Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating procedures to support departmental goals.
· Serve as a role model and advocate for the Stemilt Handbook, safety programs, and company policies.
· Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.

Work Environment:
· Work is performed indoors, outdoors, and in cold‑storage environments.
· Work hours may vary based on operational needs.
· During harvest season, the schedule may require up to six days per week with variable hours.
Qualifications:
· Experience supervising crews, preferably within an agricultural environment.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Strong critical‑thinking skills, particularly related to harvest and storage logistics.
· Working knowledge of fruit grades, sizes, and varieties.
· Ability to train, develop, and advance employees in their job functions.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to perform detailed work and make timely, well‑informed decisions during periods of high pressure.
· Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment, with working conditions ranging from hot summer fields to cold fruit storage rooms.
· Strong attention to detail, diligence in task completion, and the ability to analyze and interpret large data sets.
· Flexibility with work schedule to meet operational needs.
· Ability to deliver high‑quality results with a transparent, consultative, and collaborative approach.
· Ability to interact and connect with all Stemilters.

Preferred, but not required
· Background in the tree fruit or agricultural industry.
· Bilingual in English and Spanish.
· Experience with agricultural harvest operations or raw product movement.
· Inventory management experience.
