As Stemilt’s Production Manager, you are responsible for monitoring quality control, production, and packing supplies, as well as supervising Line Supervisors to ensure all processes and procedures are completed accurately and efficiently. You will follow organizational policies and all applicable laws to carry out key supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; and evaluating performance through coaching, recognition, and corrective measures.
This position supports three thousand Stemilters and is expected to deliver extraordinary customer service at all levels. Additional responsibilities include completing required administrative documentation, maintaining focus on departmental and individual goals, and addressing and resolving concerns or issues as they arise. Strong problem‑solving skills are essential.
Additional Responsibilities
· Continuously identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and elevate quality and team morale.
· Review packing instructions and delegate work effectively.
· Maintain clear, consistent communication with scheduling, managers, mechanics, and vendors.
· Maintain and enhance standard operating procedures to support production goals.
· Coordinate production activities in alignment with company policies, principles, and established procedures.
· Develop plans for the efficient use of materials, equipment, and Stemilters.
· Review production costs and product quality, making adjustments to production and inventory programs to support profitable operations.
· Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production meets quality and specification standards.
· Review operational reports and address manufacturing, operational, or maintenance challenges to minimize costs and prevent delays.
· Serve as a role model and advocate for the Stemilt Handbook and Stemilt Safety programs.
· Actively participate in quality management teams across the organization.
· Foster a team culture that delivers extraordinary customer service.
· Model accountability and support the development of a strong self‑leadership culture.
· Contribute to the team and the company in additional ways as requested or required.

Experience:
· 3+ years of experience in Production.
· Proven leadership experience in a supervisory role.
· Strong computer proficiency (Oracle, MS Office, Compac, Unitec, GP, Greefa, Aweta).
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two‑year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
· Demonstrated ability to work productively and to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
· Exceptional written communication skills.
· Knowledge of fruit grades, sizes, varieties, packs, machinery, and supplies.
· Ability to perform detailed tasks and make quick, well‑informed decisions during high‑pressure situations.
· Understanding of personnel management principles and hiring procedures.
· Willingness to complete the Stemilt Growers, LLC Safety Program.
· Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
· Highly organized and consistently punctual.
· Understanding of Food Safety Programs such as SQF and HACCP.
· A desire to create strategy and design of an environment that creates a World Famous! Stemilter experience.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage data effectively, efficiently, and with strict confidentiality.
· Ability to deliver high‑quality results with a transparent, consultative, and collaborative approach.
· Ability to interact and connect with all Stemilters.
