As a Retail Store Clerk, you’ll join our team during one of the most exciting times of the year. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by keeping the store running smoothly, assisting shoppers, and contributing to sales through friendly, efficient service. This is a fast-paced, hands-on seasonal role where each day brings something new. Schedules may vary based on customer activity and business needs.

Responsibilities

· Welcome and assist customers in-store and over the phone.

· Serve ice cream, prepare purchases, carry items to customer vehicles, and process transactions.

· Handle customer questions and concerns with professionalism.

· Support sales goals alongside the Retail Store Manager.

· Create a clean, inviting, and enjoyable shopping environment.

· Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including sales floor, restrooms, and exterior areas.

· Restock products and monitor inventory on the sales floor.

· Ensure product quality and fresh standards are met.

· Prepare gift baskets for shipment and accurately enter order details.

· Receive, organize, and store deliveries.

· Keep the backroom clean and well organized.

· Operate equipment, including a forklift after certification, to support inventory movement.

· Perform daily cash handling and end-of-day balancing.

· Complete opening and closing tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

· Other duties may be assigned based on seasonal volume, staffing, and business needs.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma; some college or two or more years of retail experience preferred.

Skills

· Comfortable communicating in English (speaking, reading, and writing)

· Additional language skills are a plus

· Basic math skills, including accuracy with simple calculations

· General computer proficiency (email, internet, data entry); word processing experience is helpful

Physical Demands

This role involves regular movement and physical activity throughout the day. Team members may:

· Stand for extended periods and frequently use hands and arms

· Communicate regularly with customers and team members

· Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds

· Use visual focus for close-up tasks and product handling

Work Environment

· Work may include extended time in a refrigerated space (approximately 40–42°F)

· Noise levels range from moderate to occasionally loud, particularly in cooler areas
