As Stemilt’s Supervisor you are charged with supervising and coordinating the activities for the Stemilters that are engaged in cultivating, pruning, spraying, thinning, propping, and harvesting tree crops. Supervisors will use their strong leadership skills manage 1 or more subordinate crews, who all supervise a total of 1 to 25 Stemilters in the orchards, as well as directly supervise 1 or more who are non-supervisory, this is done in accordance with the organization’s policies and any applicable laws. This position supports four thousand Stemilters and it’s required to deliver extraordinary customer service at all levels, in addition to interviewing, hiring and training, planning and assigning work, appraising performance and disciplining, as well as addressing complaints and resolving any problems that might arise. Exceptional problem-solving skills a must.
Additional Responsibilities
· Discuss and coordinate orchard activities such and harvesting to ensure that company production goals are met
· Assign trees, rows, or blocks of trees to workers
· Discuss activities with management personnel to plan schedules and employee assignments
· Assign workers in spacing, thinning, irrigating, fertilizing, spraying, pruning trees, and in harvesting fruit
· Inspect harvested fruit for bruises, maturity, and improper harvesting defects
· Oversee changes in humidity and temperature levels and cultivation procedures to ensure conformance with quality control standards
· Drive and operate heavy machinery such as a dump truck, four-wheeled tractor, and growth-media tiller, to handle materials and supplies
· Prepare daily tally sheets of worker hours and production
· Interpret policies to Stemilters and enforce safety regulations
· Effectively change working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew
· Analyze and resolve work problems and/or assists workers in solving work problems
· Observe operations to monitor progress of work and to detect and resolve problems
· Contribute to the team and the Company in various other ways when requested or required.

Experience:
· 1 to 2 years related experience and or training
Qualifications:
· Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
· Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
· Strong reasoning ability and can apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
· Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, as well as always looking for ways to improve and promote quality
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensures productivity standards are always met
· Takes initiative and seeks increased responsibilities as well as offers help when needed
