Summary:
Engages in irrigating, cooling, fixing mainlines, and all aspects of growing/producing tree crops by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate an ATV to perform job task
Turn on irrigation according to foreman’s instructions.
Observe fruit temperature to turn on overhead cooling
Fix pipes, sprinklers, mainlines, and any other equipment related to irrigation.
Site prepares for new blocks
Apply fertigation
Place/remove bins within harvest blocks.
Other job tasks may include pruning, thinning, pulling weeds, trellis work, tree training, general clean up, and planting.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 3 subordinate supervisors and anywhere from 6 to 30 employees.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Complete task assigned on time as directed by foreman or crew boss.
Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
Is consistently at work on time; Ensures employer is notified of absence; arrives at trainings/orientations on time.
Positive attitude, ready to work with fellow employees to assure task is done. Willing to ask questions if confused and doesn’t comprehend job task.
