As a Stemilt Hybrid Forklift Operator you are charged with completing different tasks such as making sure that pallets are ticketed, strapped, and wrapped appropriately prior to moving them out of the Euclid Warehouse Plant. This position supports four thousand Stemilters and it’s required to deliver extraordinary customer service at all levels, in addition to the primary duties of:

General:

·         Adhere to all safety protocols, including honking at corners and blind spots, and demonstrating courtesy to pedestrians.

·         Conduct a comprehensive forklift inspection at the beginning of each shift.

·         Scan tickets accurately when transporting or loading pallets.

·         Consolidate partial pallets as necessary for efficiency.

·         Organize pallets systematically to facilitate workflow.

·         Manage and distribute packaging supplies throughout the facility.

·         Perform sweeping and cleaning duties in the outdoor areas of the facility.

·         Deliver 5-gallon water jugs to various locations within the facility.

·         Ensure the work area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.

·         Provide support in multiple roles as needed, including line worker and segregator.

·         Additional duties may be assigned.

Palletizing:

·         Maintain an organized supply area, including pallets and boards.

·         Ensure the production line is clear of full and partial pallets.

·         Keep palletizer hoppers stocked with the correct pallets.

·         Transport pallets to the appropriate staging area or return them to the packing line as needed.

·         Monitor recycling and waste bins, replacing them with new bins when they are full.

·         Return mismarked or damaged boxes to the designated stamping area.

·         Assist with segregation tasks as required.

·         Transport packs to cold storage facilities

·         Operate the forklift for transporting raw fruit or packaging supplies.

·         Serve as a segregator in the cold room.

·         Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception

Work Environment

·         Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme cold

·         Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions

·         Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme heat and vibration

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Qualifications:

Qualified individuals must be flexible with their working schedule as well as willing to work weekends when necessary.

·         Ability to calculate weights

·         Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers as well as multiply/divide with 10’s and 100’s

·         Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both written and verbally with coworkers and supervisors

·         Ability to interact and connect with all Stemilters
