Summary:
The basic objective of this position is to maintain and complete repairs of orchard equipment and keep equipment running at optimal levels at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Working in the field orchards and from central shop doing various mechanical jobs.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Log all maintenance performed.

Education and/or Experience:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a strong mechanical, electrical, and background in orchard equipment such as:
- Pickups – Small engines
- Truck Repair
- Tractors Sprayers
- Wind Machines
- 4-Wheelers
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of costumers or employees of the organization.
- Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid Driver’s License
