As Stemilt’s Pack Scheduler you are charged with creating and implementing the pack schedules for the production lines. The Pack Scheduler will use their strong communication skills to receive information and requests from the Sales department, Quality Control, Shipping/Trucking, and Operations and will then plan schedules accordingly while keeping in mind other variables that could affect the process. This position supports four thousand Stemilters and it’s required to deliver extraordinary customer service at all levels, as well as taking into consideration how various positions are dependent on product outflow, such as Sales, Shipping/Trucking, and Quality Control, and finding ways to resolve any conflict that might come up in the production lines, ensuring the process can stay running smoothly. Exceptional problem-solving skills a must.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work on finite scheduling of packed items
- Participate in weekly Sales/Op and Pear meetings
- Maintain knowledge of inventory management, running orders, and sales orders as well as adapt to changes as needed
- Prepare information for weekly reporting
- Create 1–3-day pack schedules for raw product linked to the haul list and common storage
- Maintain communication with different departments, team leaders, and other Stemilters
- Find ways to improve the pack scheduling process
- Work with customer service, allocation, and team leaders
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, specifically for harvest
- Create a culture within the team that leads to ensuring extraordinary customer service for all team members.
- Hold self and team accountable and ensure the development of a self-leadership team culture.
- Contribute to the team and the Company in various other ways when requested or required.

Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in scheduling
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required, and related experience in production environment/tree fruit industry a plus. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to be productive individually as well as while part of a team
- Highly organized
- Ability to prioritize different jobs and multitask
- Knowledgeable in packed fruit standards, varieties, grades, and packaging
